BioBorn in Dallas, Texas, John attended film school at the Universty of Texas in Austin, during this time he worked as a Writer for the state-funded Pro Arts Collective Theater Company. He moved to New York in 2000 and began working in film. He co-founded Field Office Research with John Furgason in 2002. Carfire, their first documentary, premiered at the New York Underground Film Festival in October 2004. The folowing year, his short film, Kiest Park, opened the Slamdance Film Festival for the U.S. premiere of Larry Clark’s, Wassup Rockers. Since, he has produced and directed films that have shown at the IFC Center, Res Fest, Havana Film Festival, Bicycle Film Festival, and Rooftop Films. He currently works as a film editor in New York. |
